Cameron Memorial Community Hospital: Elevating Patient Satisfaction
Cameron Memorial Community Hospital (CMCH), a 25-bed critical access facility in Indiana, faced the challenge of maintaining high cleanliness standards amidst fluctuating patient volumes. To address this, CMCH previously integrated the OhmniClean UV-C disinfection robot into their Environmental Services (EVS) operations.
Under the leadership of Darren Goff, the EVS team trained all 25 staff members to utilize the robot effectively. They established a goal of completing at least 60 UV-C runs monthly, covering operating rooms, isolation rooms, and common areas. This proactive approach supported notable outcomes:
- CMCH achieved a 99th percentile rating in patient surveys for room cleanliness and environmental factors.
- In 2023, it was one of only two hospitals in Indiana to receive a 5-star rating for both quality metrics and patient satisfaction.
These achievements highlight how CMCH’s EVS team leveraged automation to strengthen workflow consistency and elevate overall cleanliness perception throughout the facility.
*OhmniClean supports environmental hygiene and UV-C exposure workflows in unoccupied spaces. Operational results reflect staff workflow and cleanliness perception only.
